Office of the University Librarian
Welcome to the Libraries of George Mason University.
Mason’s library system has been undergoing extensive transformation in all key areas: robust collections growth especially in digital resources and remarkable special collections; innovative services; leading-edge programs and initiatives, including technology; expert library faculty and skilled staff; and state-of the-art library facilities.
I invite you to explore and discover, review and reflect, and learn from the varied and significant resources of one of the leading academic research libraries in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We aim to be the center of Mason’s academic enterprise outside of the classroom, laboratory or studio.
We provide specialized information and research materials, as well educational and other library services, to learners and researchers locally, statewide, nationally and even internationally. As Mason’s academic reach expands, so does that of its libraries.
Thank you for visiting the Mason Libraries virtually. You are welcome, as well, to visit any of the five Mason libraries at the university’s three distributed campuses
– Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William.
