Exam Time!  (And WOW!  Are the Holidays here already??)

Monday, December 13th marks the beginning of the Fall 2004 Final Exam Schedule.  Mercer Library supports all departments and facilities during these busy times.  Staff will be busy preparing all document fulfillment requests, lending reserves and general circulating materials, as well as providing reference/research assistance as needed.  Please drop by for individual or group study and research!

Mercer Library  hours will change throughout the exam period and winter break.  Please note the changes below.  In addition, you can always find Mercer Library hours posted on the sign just outside the entrance (to Room 104 in Occoquan) and on the sign just inside the entrance.  Hours are also listed on the Mercer Library front desk voice mail (703) 993-8340 and (703) 993-8342.  Please also note that Fenwick, Johnson Center, and Arlington Campus Library hours may differ from Mercer's.

Spreading Holiday Cheer!
Mercer Library would like to encourage all departments [of] on the Prince William Campus to participate in any way possible, making this holiday season a better one for families in need!

This holiday season, the Center for Service and Leadership is involved in two different gift-giving projects.  Your support is vital to their success.  If you are interested in donating, gifts may be delivered to CSL, 442 Enterprise Hall from December 6-10, 9am - 5pm.

Holiday Spirit Campaign
Donate new, unwrapped gifts for low-income families in Fairfax County.  All donations will go to Our Neighbor's Child, a local non-profit organization specializing in the needs of children.  We welcome gifts ranging from infants to teenagers.

NOVAM Adopt-A-Family
Make a difference in the life of a child affected by HIV/AIDS.  Select a  name from the list in our office, and donate the requested item(s).

For more information about Our Neighbors Child or the NOVAM Adopt-A-Family project, contact the Center for Service and Leadership at leadserv@gmu.edu or call (703) 993-2900.  Your support will help make the holidays brighter for the families of Fairfax.

Holiday Pot Luck
Please hold the date and plan to attend the Prince William Campus Holiday Pot Luck Lunch scheduled for Friday, December 17, beginning at noon in Randall’s Cafe.  There will be good food, door prizes, special guests, and fun for all!   This is a pot luck lunch - everyone is expected to bring a dish to share.  Food sign up sheets are located at the Occoquan, Discovery, and Freedom Center information desks.

Our charity benefit this year will be to support the Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots program.  Collection of new, unwrapped toys has already begun and will run through December 15th.  Look for collection boxes in Occoquan Building, Discovery Hall, and The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center.

Point of Contacts - Christopher Willis (703-993-8508 cwillis1@gmu.edu) or Robin Knies (703-993-8506 rknies@gmu.edu)
