DATABASE UPDATES

Leisuretourism.com database now available!

The Leisuretourism.com database from CABI Publishing is now accessible via the University Libraries ‘Databases’ page starting in the month of June.  Leisuretourism.com brings together an archive of worldwide information for all those interested in the research and strategic development of leisure, recreation, sport, tourism and hospitality activities, facilities, products and services. Comprising over 50,000 international bibliographic references originally published in Leisure, Recreation and Tourism Abstracts, the database backfile extends back to 1976 and features published research from 1974 to the present.
Leisuretourism.com abstracts over 400 publications in the above-referenced subject areas each year, including journal articles, research papers, books, and conferences, and then adds indexing terms from a classified thesaurus and special codes to aid retrieval. The database aims to provide comprehensive coverage of all aspects of leisure, recreation, sport, tourism and the cultural industries, including:

• Leisure and tourism policies
• Tourism and leisure industries
• Travel and transport
• Facility management and planning
• Recreation, cultural, entertainment and sporting activities
