Granger's World of Poetry Online contains the full-text of over 250,000 poems and 450,000 citations to poems. These poems and poem citations are taken from volumes of collected works, and selected works for individual poets. The full-text poems are the most widely read poems in the English language as well as other languages.
The Granger's World of Poetry Online has the complete works of some of the world most well known poets such as Shelley, Blake, and Poe.
Included are several commentaries on individual poems. These commentaries provide information on the poem's form and technique, historical context, and what happens in the poem. Also provided is a bibliography for further reading on the poem.
Users can also get brief biographies of leading poets. Each biography is followed by a short bibliography, consisting of the standard edition of the author's collected poems, the standard biography of the poet, and a standard critical work on the author. Each biography provides links to some of the poet's most important poems.

Poems can be search by browsing through over 6,000 subject headings arranged in a hierarchical order around related themes and categories. Advanced searching includes searching for poems by title, poet, first line of the poem, last line of the poem, and by text in the poem.
