Typically, the focus on faculty achievements is reserved for those who publish books, says Adriana Ercolano, director of development for University Libraries and Information Technology. But this reception for the first time will honor those who have been involved with the production of, or have had their work published in, various academic journals. When she sent out initial invitations, Ercolano said there were 140 faculty members who responded with work on approximately 160 journals. "We wanted to showcase as many of the works as possible," she says. The diversity of the journals is a "very, very eclectic mix, as varied as the faculty," she adds.
