Chinese Students and Scholars Association

The Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) is the official organization of Chinese students and scholars at George Mason University. CSSA is devoted to help newcomers adjust to American culture and new environments, to provide helps and quality services to improve the educational, social lives of our members, to keep our Chinese heritage and traditions alive, to strengthen communications and friendship with local Chinese communities, and to promote cultural exchange, friendship, and understanding among people with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Association of Chinese and Political Studies

Formerly the Chinese Scholars of Political Science and International Studies, is a non-profit academic organization registered in the United States with tax exempt status. ACPS was founded in 1986 by a group of Chinese scholars and students of political science and international relations in the U.S. to promote academic exchange among Chinese scholars and American scholars of China studies. In 1995, the organization changed its name to Association of Chinese Political Studies to allow non-ethnic Chinese to become members so that the organization is for all who study Chinese politics. Currently the organization has about 200 members from various parts of the world. 80 % of them are male and 20% of them are female.

This searchable database of 70+ chinese journals in the US, Canada, and Mexico is maintained by the Center for Chinese Studies. It was developed in collaboration with and under funding from the PRC National Commission for Classics Editing and Research by Institutions of Higher Education. American Association of Chinese Studies

The American Association for Chinese Studies (AACS), founded in 1959, is devoted exclusively to the general area of Chinese studies. Their mission is toe encourage the study of subjects related to China, especially in American educational institutions; advance such study and teaching through the exchange of information and scholarship across disciplinary lines promote understanding and communication between Western and Eastern scholars involved in Chinese studies.

China Institute

The China Institute, founded in 1926, is a nonprofit, non-partisan educational and cultural institution that promotes understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of traditional and contemporary Chinese civilization, culture and heritage, and provides the cultural and historical context for understanding contemporary China.  

The Center for U.S.-China Arts Exchange

The Center is a not-for-profit national organization affiliated with Columbia University. The Center was founded to promote mutual interest in and understanding of the arts of the United States and China and to promote creativity in both countries.  

Committee on Scholarly Communication with China

The Committee is a private, nonprofit organization designed to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and China by providing China-based liaison and coordination for cross-cultural academic programs.  

U.S. - China Business Council

The US-China Business Council is the principle organization of US corporations engaged in business relations with the PRC. The bulk of its work focuses on serving the interests and needs of US firms with well-established commercial relationships in China.
