2007 All are invited to GIS Day at Mason, Wednesday,
November
14, 12:00-4:00 pm outside of Dewberry Hall and in the Johnson Center
Cinema,
as part of Geography Awareness Week. Sponsored by the Department of
Geography,
the event will feature exhibits, demonstrations and presentations by
local
and federal government and industry including ESRI, the National
Geographic
Society, Arlington and Loudoun counties, GeoEye, Dewberry, SAIC, Booz
Allen
Hamilton, Boeing, BAE Systems, MTC Technologies, NGA, and American
Forests.
They will show applications of Geographic Information Systems and
discuss
career opportunities. Mason faculty and students will present projects,
and
share previews of courses and opportunities for additional studies.
These
activities will also be supported by ongoing software demonstrations in
Fenwick
