The site presents a concise overview of key concepts and current
issues that are useful in understanding the open access movement. It
also celebrates George Mason University's support of open access
publishing and includes the information about the University's
institutional memberships and the bibliography of Mason-authored
open access articles.
The site
is designed and maintained by
Victoria Shelton, Life Sciences
Librarian at George Mason University. The author believes that that
research findings, particularly in health sciences, should be freely
and immediately available to the world-wide scientific community,
clinicians, and the public.
