BLC partners with OCA
The Boston Library Consortium, Inc. (BLC) announced on September 25, 2007, that it will partner with the Open Content Alliance to build a freely accessible library of digital materials from all 19 member institutions.

BioMed Central's partnership with the WebCite initiative
BMS is
working with WebCite to ensure that as much of possible of the web material linked to by BioMed Central authors is preserved for the long term.

The Biosciences Federation has issued a Position statement on Open Access, September 19, 2007.
