For information
on how to search for dissertations and theses from George Mason University
that are available in the University Libraries, please see our special
search guide: Locating
GMU Theses and Dissertations (PDF file). Otherwise,
use the following resource to search for dissertations and theses in general.
-
- The complete range of academic
subjects appearing in dissertations and theses accepted at accredited
institutions in North America and Europe.
The
University Libraries do not own many disserations and theses besides those
granted by GMU. Therefore, if GMU does not have the dissertation or thesis
you want, you will need to request an Inter-Library
Loan to see if you can obtain a copy.
- If
that fails, or if you would like your own personal copy of a dissertation
or thesis, you may order them through Proquest/UMI's
Online Dissertation Services. Please note,
you must pay any charges for using this service; GMU does not utilize
Proquest/UMI for its service

PrePrint
Network Start with "Subject
Pathways"
- A searchable
gateway to preprint servers that deal with scientific and technical
disciplines of concern to DOE. Such disciplines include the great
bulk of physics, materials, and chemistry, as well as portions of
biology, environmental sciences and nuclear medicine. With a single
query, users can search one or a collection of existing preprint
servers. The Network pulses the search engines of such servers,
compiles the results, and returns them to the users.
