AJS remains a leading voice for analysis and research in the social sciences, presenting work on the theory, methods, practice, and history of sociology. Vols.1-105 (1895-2000). The only bimonthly academic journal of contemporary Asian affairs published in the US, Asian Survey provides in-depth analysis on contemporary Asia and international affairs. British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies The British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies is a refereed academic journal published for the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (popularly known as BRISMES). Comparative Studies in Society and History It is a multidisciplinary journal that covers cultural studies and theory, especially in anthropology, history, political science, and sociology. Contemporary Sociology: A Journal of Reviews "CS publishes reviews and critical discussions of recent works in sociology and in related disciplines which merit the attention of sociologists." This journal is a continuation of the Soviet Studies (Vols. 1-44, 1949-1992 ) journal. International Journal of Nautical Archaeology "Covers all aspects of nautical archaeological research. The journal's themes are seas, ships, cargos, and the sailors of the past-subjects that have excited interest throughout history. Journal of Asian American Studies Explores all aspects of Asian American experiences. Journal of Black Studies Vols. 1-28 (Issue 2), 1970-1997. Journal of Historical Geography "Articles on all aspects of historical geography. It aims to interest an international and interdisciplinary readership. In addition to publishing original research papers, the journal encourages discussion of methodology, discourse on items of g eneral interest, and debates on subjects covered in earlier issues. It includes a substantial book review section." Vols. 21-current (1995-present). "Concentrates on publishing the highest quality papers covering all aspects of human evolution. The central focus is aimed jointly at palaeoanthropological work, covering human and primate fossils, and at comparative studies of living species, including both morphological and molecular evidence. "Publishes high quality applied sociology, focusing on theoretical, empirical and methodological discussions which engage with current political, cultural and intellectual topics and debates." The journal features articles that illustrate the use of quantitative methods in the empirical solution of substantive problems, and emphasizes those concerned with issues or methods that cut across traditional disciplinary lines.
