APA style is the set of formatting conventions sanctioned by the American Psychological Association yet commonly used by social scientists or university students. Elements of the APA stylesheet include in-text citations, punctuation standards, line spacing, and heading format.
Citation formatting guidelines recommended by the Modern Language Association (MLA). This guide may suffice for most students' needs but it is not a substitute for the book Modern Language Association Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.
