University Libraries
provide a Course Reserves Service to support graduate and undergraduate
classes. Faculty may place high demand on specialized materials on reserve
with restricted loan periods (two hour, four hour, one day, three days,
and seven days). Two hour and four hour items are for in-library use only.
Reserve materials may include library owned articles, books, videotapes,
CDs, audiocassettes and personal copies of material. All reserve items
on the Fairfax campus are available at the Media/Reserve Desk on the FIRST
FLOOR of the Johnson Center Library. Prince William and Arlington Campus
reserves may be obtained at the Circulation Desk in the Library.
Patrons must present a valid University or picture ID card
to check out reserve items, with the exception of U.S. government
publications.
Reserve Request forms
are available at the circulation desks of the Fenwick, Johnson Center,
Mercer Library/Prince William Campus, and Arlington Campus Libraries as well online.
All copied materials
placed on reserve, except government publications, are protected by U.S. Copyright Law (U.S.C. Title 17).
Faculty members must read and sign a copyright liability statement for
all materials placed on reserve.
