DATABASE UPDATES

Communication Abstracts offers over 35,000 citations!

Communication Abstracts is a comprehensive resource for information on the worldwide literature of communication and related disciplines.  Its indexing and abstracting covers approximately 160 sources, including articles, reports, papers and books from a variety of publishers, research centers and other information sources.

The journals in this collection include not only those from the field of communication, but also related areas such as public relations, journalism, marketing and advertising, film studies, public opinion, and the role of technology in human communication. Search features of this Cambridge Scientific Abstracts database include advanced search, thesaurus search, saved searches, and e-mail alert of new content.

Communication Abstracts currently contains over 35,000 citations. The dates of coverage are 1977 to the present, with bimonthly updates of about 600 new records per update. Researchers can locate it through the “Databases” heading on the GMU Libraries Home Page, under the category “Social Sciences.”
