Cathy Baum graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (‘81) and is the managing partner of MARCAT Group, Inc., an independent consulting/advisory firm specializing in sales and marketing strategies. Ms. Baum began a career in real estate over 25 years ago as the Director of Corporate Development for the Reston-based Northern Virginia ERA general brokerage franchise.
Ms. Baum is the former President of the Washington Division of Drees Homes, former Vice President of Sales and Marketing for John Laing Homes, and former Executive Vice President of the Stanley Martin Companies.
Ms. Baum is active in a number of professional and community organizations. She is a member of the Fairfax Committee of 100, a graduate of Leadership Fairfax, Inc., past President of the Reston Board of Commerce, a mentor in the Women’s Center “I Can” program, a member of the prestigious Institute of Residential Marketing, and the Hunter Mill Representative on the Fairfax County Commission for Women.
