Biography

Libraries have always been Elyse Becker's second home. She finds strolling the stacks almost as relaxing as a day at the beach. She began working in the Fenwick Library at George Mason while earning her Master's degree in Creative Writing. Upon graduation, she realized she would have to return her two hundred library books. She decided to stay and help others fall in love with all that libraries have to offer.

One of Elyse's own books now graces the shelves of Fenwick: Necessary Sins, the first novel in her historical fiction series The Lazare Family Saga, written under her pen name, Elizabeth Bell. She completed the meticulous research for the Lazare Family Saga in under three decades, which would not have been possible without the George Mason Libraries' robust physical and online collections.
