Biography

Rachel Lavender is a Metadata Specialist in the George Mason University Libraries. She works primarily with non-MARC metadata and works closely with other library departments to create and format easily searchable metadata. Rachel has devoted much of her professional life to diversity, equity, and inclusion work and continues to work on creating non-harmful metadata records. While not at work, Rachel enjoys FaceTiming with her family in Wisconsin and spending time with her cat, Beatrice and dog, Daisy.
