Amanda's academic interests include the performing arts - particularly musical theatre of the 20th century - literature, film & pop culture studies, and fashion history. Her work/archival interests include processing, preservation, and creating more equitable workplace cultures.

What I do at Mason Libraries

As the Manuscripts and Archives Librarian, Amanda is the head of manuscripts archival processing in SCRC, which includes accessioning new archival collections, consulting on processing and preservation best practices, training and supervising student workers, as well as contributing to SCRC's social media presence. She also assists with a wide variety of other tasks, including exhibit curation, collection development, and donor relations.

Amanda is an active member of the archives community and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) and the Society of American Archivists (SAA).
