University Libraries serve as the center of campus discussion about shared topics of scholarly interest and the most pressing intellectual and ethical matters of our time. We are at the heart of scholarly discourse and what it means to use current and future resources in a way that furthers human well-being and learning. Our libraries are living, learning laboratories where new ideas are created and shared.

The Graduate Student Fellowship & the Undergraduate Research Prize were established to further foster this scholarly discourse at Virginia’s largest research institution, recognize both graduate and undergraduate research, and to promote student success.

The University Libraries Research Endowment which supports these awards was created by generous donors that understood the critical need to nurture research in all of its many forms and illuminate the extensive research supports University Libraries offers to our students and faculty. The research endowment continues to grow through donations from donors like you. Give now.
