The Final Submission deadline for graduation in the Summer 2024 Semester is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26.

In order to be eligible to graduate during a given semester, all Master's students writing theses and all Doctoral students writing dissertations must turn in the final copies of their theses/dissertations and all necessary materials to UDTS on or by that date/time.

By "final copy," we are referring to the version of your thesis/dissertation that fulfills all of the following criteria:

  1. UDTS has reviewed and approved your document's formatting through the Format Review;
  2. You have successfully defended (if a Defense is a requirement for your degree/discipline);
  3. And your committee has approved your content.

 

UDTS is introducing a new Format Review Policy in the Fall 2024 Semester.

The Format Review Submission Deadline for the Fall 2024 Semester is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4. In order to remain eligible to graduate in the Fall 2024 Semester, all Master's students writing theses and all Doctoral students writing dissertations must send their documents to UDTS via email (udts@gmu.edu) on or by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4 for the mandatory Format Review. We will continue to review documents until Wednesday, December 4. Any document received between 5:01 p.m. on Monday, November 4 and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10 will not be reviewed until Wednesday, December 11 at the very earliest.
